I often talk about the wanting or longing we have for personal change - but, because we’re not truly ready for it, the wanting is as far as we get.

“I first heard Great Awake Coach in an interview with Sean at SGT Report podcast. At the time, my career as a professional artist was in shambles, I’d been in and out of binges with vodka for years, was going through some traumatizing family events. I was heading to the end of the 2022 sinking in my own swamp.

There were counselors , friends and family everywhere I turned, all very willing to help - yet I couldn’t find anyone who could empathize. When a hiking accident put me in the hospital with a broken ankle and surgeries, the helplessness sank to the core.

“Only weeks after I got back from my last overseas tour, I was downing nearly a case of crappy American beer a day. I had no one to talk to, no one to relate to and because I was always drinking, almost no one wanted to be around me.

After following Coach on Telegram for months, I finally made an appointment to talk to him about getting what he calls the “Booze Monkey” off my back. After just a few minutes into our first call, I felt like I was talking to someone who already knew me. I agreed to go on a 90-day alcohol fast with Coach.

Once I made that agreement with Coach, it was like something changed. I went from drinking an average of 24 beers a day to zero in just 42 days.

It’s now almost nine months later, and I have no desire to drink. I think it’s due to several things. First, the “no drama” process of quitting is huge.
